A woman's turn on Dancing with the Stars

Woot, woot - it is time for some season finales. Tonight is the finale of Bones. It is also the finale of House. I am pretty stoked about both. But I am really stoked about Bones. I mean, will Booth live?

What about a stateless society?

You know, there are a lot of things about the world that are both confusing and just plain hard to understand. And government is one of those things. There is a site about there called Free of State that wants us to think about things like a Stateless Society. What would be so hard about having thoughts of things like alternative government, no government, and alternative currency ideas. In fact, this Free of State site asks what about a world with no war and no enemy. Man, what a world that would be! I am all for that, so put me on that list ASAP. This is certainly an interesting concept. They describe a stateless society as a being a society that is need based as opposed to greed based. It is certainly something that is interesting and sounds a bit like utopia. Before you pass any type of judgment on this type of idea you should really check out the Free of State website and read what they are all about. And get a really good feel for their ideas. And then ask your self what would be so bad about a world with no enemy and no war?

Looks like Ellen and Portia aren't the only ones with marriage on their minds. In fact, it seems to be going around! Only these two love birds actually tied the knot!

Sources are saying that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got married yesterday! The ceremony took place at the Simpson house. No photos of it have surfaced yet though.

Wow, what some news! Apparently Ellen DeGeneres announced on her show that she plans to marry girlfriend Portia de Rossi. Of course, this can happen now that the supreme court in California said banning gay marriage was unconstitutional. Pretty, exciting huh? Can't wait to see those wedding photos! Kudos to them!

You know, it seems like every birthday or holiday or Christmas or whatever I am getting these lame freaking cards from people. I mean, do not get me wrong, it is nice and all that they went to all of the trouble of looking through cards trying to find something suitable for me. But let us face some facts here - those mass produced cards are pretty general and are mass produced for the general population so it is rather difficult to get something special for someone since there is practically no way to do that at these places like the Hallmark store. Sure, you could make your own but only if you are the artsy type. Well, I have found a better idea. And that idea is using Photo Cards from Cards Direct instead. So, I mentioned I went to a concert last night. It was for Augustana and David Ford. Augustana sucked ass. David Ford was amazing as usual. Then there was some local band that opened too. They were actually kinda lame. Yet, they were better than Augustana. I kinda wish they had let David Ford play longer though. That was lame too.

Augustana - you suck in concert

Last night I went to a concert at the HOB. The headliner was Augustana. I really like their "Boston" song. Their live show was horrible. They may in fact be the worst live performers ever. Man, ever feel like you just need a vacation? I know I do right now! And I do not even have a place that I am wanting to go real bad. SocialSpark is Live!

I have been using a couple of different sites that pay you to blog about certain things for about a year now. In fact, this post is one of those types of blog posts. You see, one of the sites that I use a lot is owned by IZEA and they have just recently launched another site that pays you to blog called SocialSpark. The thing is that SocialSpark is a little bit different than the other site. First off, SocialSpark is set up that it has a bit more of a social network or a community feel to it. You see, with SocialSpark bloggers can create profiles so that they can interact with the other bloggers on the site. For an example, check out the profile for Heather in Beautiful BC and you will see a real blogger profile. It is easy to see how this site is designed to double as a bit of a social network. In my experience there are not as many opps on this site as on its sister site, which is PayPerPost. I also think that the opps on PPP end up having a higher payout. This is somewhat due to their being more opps on PPP but it is largely due to dynamic pricing on Social Spark. Basically that means that you might see an opp for $10 but if demand goes up before you get it then you could end up getting paid a lower amount. The lowest I have seen is $5.50. I have also noticed that the required word count on SocialSpark is generally a bit higher than on PPP. So with the combo of higher word counts and less pay, SocialSpark is less than appealing to me. However, I do think it is worth checking out and I will do opps from there from time to time. I just do not love it like I thought I would.

Men in Trees has been canceled!

It was just announced that ABC has canceled Men in Trees!

And the final episodes of this season start airing on May 28 on ABC.

Supposedly, there is a chance though that the ending of the final episode could get re-shot to tie things up for viewers - at least that is what TV Guide is saying. And the season finale is set to air this summer.

Woo hoo stimulus check

Hooray, its here. My stimulus check has finally showed up. I've been searching my bank account each day this week. I was really expecting it at the beginning of the week. But no such luck. Woo hoo! And who says there is no such thing as free money?
