What a story this is! I saw on Yahoo the headline that a woman found $10,000 in a box of crackers. So here is the story. In October a family bought a box of crackers from a Whole Foods. They got home and the box had an envelope with $10,000 in 100 dollar bills in it. They called the police. The police said it might have been part of a drug drop. Turns out it was not. His prison sentence is now set to expire on Feb. 23, 2009, but the terms of the commutation leave intact and in effect the 10 years of supervised release with all its conditions.

Sure I did talk about it recently but only because Jennifer Aniston was wearing nothing but a tie! Anyways, I have a confession to make - I am always checking out the shoes that celebs are wearing. If you are thinking about moving - Don't move to California

I recently moved to Los Angeles, California. This was a bad idea. And if you are thinking of moving to California let me warn you against it. Why so bad? Well, in case you have not heard the state of California is having money problems. They have a deficit. What do you think that means? They are trying to come up with extra money any way they can.

That means that cops are pulling people over and impounding cars without just cause. You can try to fight it but it does not matter.

My brother moved to the state in the Spring. His car was impounded for being parked on a no parking street. He took a photo of the sign on the street that showed that parking was indeed allowed. It didn't matter. He still has to pay over $400 in fines and to get his car out of the impound lot.

Right after I got here I was pulled over by a cop in Burbank. Office Maxwell, or as I like to think of him - Office Douchebag, pulled me over because I had out of state tags. He gave me a big speech about how people like me were the reason that people like him had to pay a lot for car insurance and so on. He did not want to hear the truth about how long I had been here, etc. He told me "I'm going to give you a ticket that will teach you a lesson." Whatever that is supposed to mean. He cited me for:

• Vehicle code 12500 (a)
• 4152.5
• 5200(a)

The first one of those is a misdemeanor and is for "unlicensed driver." I am baffled as to how he could cite me with this considering he also has my drivers license number on the citation! Well, Angie Harmon has had her baby, according to E!. She had another girl. This one is named Emery Hope Sehorn. It will join sisters Finley Faith, 5, and Avery Grace, 3.

Wow, 3 girls! Wonder if that means they will keep trying for a boy? I can't imagine Jason does not want a boy!

And let me start off by saying right off that bat that if you were educated in the United States then I expect that you will know nothing about this. I was educated here in the United States and so I know that they do a poor job of teaching us about world history. So, what I am touching on today is the truth about 'Holodomor of 1932-1933'. Not familiar with holodomor? Not surprising. Here is a quick history. There was a famine in the Soviet Union in 1932 to 1933. It affected grain areas like Northern Caucasus, Volga Region, South Urals, West Siberia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. The govt. seized grains from the peasantry and exported them to the West under a Stalin policy. The term 'Golodomor' was born then. It means the mass hunger or thegreat hunger that caused million of victims throughout the Soviet Union in 1932 - 1933. There were almost 7 million deaths during that time. Some people argue that it was a genocide. Over time to bring attention to this, 'golodomor' has been turned into 'holodomor' so that it looks and sounds like 'holocaust.' But no matter, in October 2008 the Euoropean Parliament said that it was not a genocide. What do you think?

Seriously? Did you see this headline on Yahoo today? The current governor is proposing a tax on downloaded music. It is being called the "iPod tax." How totally ridiculous?! The tax would be 4%. Fed cuts rate by half point

Well, it was expected. The Fed had a little 2-day meeting about cutting the rate. And guess what? They cut the rates by a half point percentage. That brings the rate down to 1%. That means credit card interest rates will go down! Yay for that!

You know, I am not a big fan of shopping in general. And I am certainly no fan of going to the mall just for fun. Consumer confidence - all time low

Heard something interesting on the news today. It was on NPR this morning. They were talking about the state of the economy. And they were talking about consumer confidence. And here is the shocking news. Consumer confidence is at its lowest amount in 41 years. Yikes. Talk about bad economy.
